Medical team to Jacmel

In collaboration with the Haitian Timoun Foundation, First Presbyterian Church of Ann Arbor and Doctors United for Haiti, we organized a medical team to travel to Jacmel on Friday, Jan. 22. They arrived via the Dominican Republic on Saturday, Jan. 23 along with two tons of supplies and equipment. The team is working in Cayes-Jacmel and has performed more than 40 critical surgeries and seen and treated more than 800 patients. They even delivered a baby! All patients previously in critical condition are stable or better. One patient was airlifted to the US because of paralysis. Cash and medications were delivered to PAZAPA. The best news: 0 deaths!
